About the Pre-incubator

Incubation in Kronoberg is about supporting companies so that they can grow and become sustainable. Which leads to positive effects such as social benefits, increased tax revenue and the creation of new jobs.

The Pre-incubator program is for entrepreneurs and companies that Företagsfabriken believes can become incubator companies. They may need to refine their business idea, their plan, or they may not meet the basic requirements right now due to lack of time or financial constraints. The program counts as minor state aid and is reported to Vinnova every year.

The program extends over a maximum six-month period and offers entrepreneurs a comprehensive package with various resources and support based on their needs. During the program
participants can take part in trainings, workshops and events.

Through the Pre-incubator program, there is the opportunity to get:

  • Book expert advice and support from e.g. lawyers, software experts, corporate governance, bank etc.
  • Business development through, for example, consultants with different areas of expertise and there entrepreneurs is part of a local entrepreneurial network that enables interaction and sharing of experiences.
  • Attend networking events and social gatherings to meet like-minded people, to share thoughts and experiences. In this way, the program provides complete support for those who are in the beginning of his business adventure.

The inflow process starts with a so-called inflow activity that is conducted to reach out and attract entrepreneurs and people in selected target groups for each activity, and ends with a selection assessment referred to as screening.

To be included in the Pre-incubator program and be considered for the incubator at Företagsfabriken in Kronoberg, the business idea must also meet certain criteria. It should have the potential to reach SEK 30 million in turnover within five years of introduction, be scalable and innovative to have potential. The joint-stock company that exists or is created during the program must comply with the requirements of the City Support Grant , which include being no more than 5 years old and a company owned by the founder. The entrepreneurs are expected to be coachable and committed at least 50% of full-time, daytime, to their business. These rules ensure that only high-potential ideas progress through the incubator process.
